Theme : Recipes of food and drink
OBJECTIVES:
Capture contextual meaning related to social functions, text structure, and linguistic elements of oral and written procedures, very short and simple, in the form of recipes and manuals
LEARNING ACTIVITIES
A. Pre – Activities
· The teacher greets the students in the class and checks students’ attendance.
· The teacher revisits or reviews the material taught last week by asking students some questions about the material
· The teacher links the previous material with today's material by asking "Have you ever made your own food? or Have you ever helped your mother cook? "
· Students are given motivation or stimulation to focus on the topic will be learned by playing a video about the procedure in making food.
· The teacher asks about what material will be learned today which is related to the video being played.
· The teacher explains the learning objectives of this material.
B. Core Activities
· The teachers show an example of procedure text and explain the generic structure and language features of procedure text and students listen to teacher explanations.
· Students are given the example of procedure text, then the teacher asked the student to observe and identify the text.
- The teacher directs students to ask questions about the matter that is still not understood.
C. Closure
- The teacher asks some of the students to conclude the material that has been learned on this day orally
- The teacher asks the student to write down what have they learned today and collect it at the end of the class.
- The teacher asked the student some question about the material today
- The teacher gives a homework
- The teacher tells a glimpse of the topic that will be learned next meeting.

APPENDIX I
PROCEDURE TEXT
Definition : procedure text is a text that shows a process in order.
The social function: to tell the reader how to do or make something through a sequence of series.
Generic Structure :
- Goal : It contains the purpose of the text.
- Material or Ingredient: It is containing the materials used in the process.
- Step : Describing the steps to make something in the goal
Language Features :
- Use adverbial of sequence / using temporal conjunction: first, second, etc.
- Use command / imperative sentence: slice the carrot, put…., etc.
- Using action verb: cut, mix, etc.
- Using Simple Present Tense: add 2-3 tbsp. of soy sauce.
